Premiere Vision Paris February 16 - 18 2016

FEBRUARY 2016: WITH 1,720 EXHIBITORS AND 6 COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITY SECTORS, PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS PLAYS ON STRENGTH AND A TRANSVERSAL APPROACH TO SERVE THE GLOBAL CREATIVE FASHION INDUSTRY.

The world’s professionals who work in the fashion, textile, design, leather, materials and related manufacturing industries will be gathering in Paris again come 16 to 18 February for the latest edition of Première Vision Paris which will open its doors once again at the Parc des Expositions.

Recognising that the current economic and political climate is still unstable, and consumption in the global apparel market continues to weaken in both traditional and new consumer countries, the organisers of Premiere Vision Paris  will build on its strength as the most important trade event for all in the competitive industries of apparel and textiles.

Promising another dynamic edition, enriched with inspirations and exchanges, Premiere Vision Paris will feature 1,720 exhibitors, encompassing spinners, weavers, accessory makers, design studios, tanners and garment manufacturers who will be presenting their latest creative developments to the many buyers, stylists and fashion and accessory brand designers.

While, following a record 2015 year, the global number of exhibitors is showing a slight 4% decline - down from 1,793 exhibitors in February 2015.

The outlook from Gilles Lasbordes, General Manager of Première Vision.
“The upcoming Première Vision Paris shows are in line with a positive trend, while the economic and political environment remains uncertain. We see a diversified offer from our exhibitors, and a real desire to present more varied and more richly creative collections. Our visitors can rest assured that once again this season, the shows will feature a wealth of creativity, high-quality products, new developments and inspiration. Maison d’Exceptions is back, with 27 artisans presenting exceptional expertise for luxury brands. And of course, Première Vision Paris will meet the needs of all markets: clothing, leather goods, footwear, fashion jewellery.
Mr. Lasbordes continues: "The total number of exhibitors is down slightly, which reflects the market, but the dynamics of the offer remain strong. This edition we welcome 142 new exhibiting companies, versus 128 in February 2015. The show occupies an equivalent exhibition space as last year. Both indicators show the renewed confidence of our exhibitors in the Première Vision Paris event.

He says, "From an economic standpoint, the current climate is reflected in a number of changes taking place in the industry sectors. We are seeing activities being grouped within companies, mergers and buyouts, but also shutdowns and re-positionings ... These developments have had a significant impact on some of our exhibitors, in particular the smallest and therefore most fragile players.

Since Première Vision became the sole organiser of the 6 shows in 2014, our strategic choices focused on improving synergies and interactions between the different events.  This has led to adjustments in the offer, greater selectivity, moving closer together some exhibitors and relocating others, as well as changes in our counting procedures, impacting the total number of exhibiting companies. This stage has now been completed, and Première Vision Paris is ready to help its exhibitors further their business in the world’s international fashion markets.”

Conceived to align with the dates of the season's earliest collections (the pre-collections), and as a complement to the calendar of Première Vision Paris, which targets main collections, the show will offer creative luxury and premium fashion brands two days of inspiration, discoveries, meetings and interactions with some 60 international, high-end exhibitors - weavers and tanners - from the Première Vision shows.

True to the Première Vision values of selectivity, creativity, quality and innovation, this event will be the ideal place to start collections by discovering the season's new product developments and latest material innovations.
